Hanover College’s volleyball squad celebrated Senior Night with a three-set sweep of Spalding University (Ky.). The Panthers’ regular-season finale was held Friday, Oct. 26, in Collier Arena.
Hanover defeated Spalding, 25-22, 25-15, 25-20, to improve to 18-13 overall this season. The triumph marks head coach Peter Preocanin’s 200th career win in his 14th season on the Panthers’ sidelines.
Senior outside hitter Ashleigh Burakiewicz (Greenwood, Ind.) led Hanover’s balanced attack with seven kills. Senior outside hitter Sarah Quebe (Indianapolis, Ind.) and freshman middle hitter Nicole Hoene (Seymour, Ind.) added six kills apiece.
Senior Marissa Disbrow (LaPorte, Ind.) totaled seven digs in her final home court appearance.
Junior setter Kelsey Wagner (Taylor Mill, Ky.) had 15 assists, while junior return specialist Kylie Justus (Crawfordville, Ind.) posted a match-high 15 digs.
Spalding, which lost to Hanover for the third time this season, slipped to 11-19 overall with the setback.
