
Hanover College’s women’s tennis team will square off against Anderson University in the opening round of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
The Panthers and Ravens will open the six-team event at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis, Ind.
Hanover, the No. 5 seed, is 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the Heartland Conference. Anderson, meanwhile, is 4-7 overall, but earned the No. 4 seed with a 4-4 record in league matches.
The teams had split the last four matches between the schools before Anderson defeated the Panthers, 7-2, Sept. 15 at Hanover’s Zeddies Tennis Center.
The winner will advance to face No. 1-seed Franklin College at 2 p.m. in one of the semifinal matches. The Grizzlies are 11-2 overall and finished 8-0 in the HCAC to grab the top seed.
The title match is slated for 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 14.
