Sophomore midfielder Erin Hancock (Amelia, Ohio) scored two goals in a 138-second span to fuel the Hanover College women’s soccer team’s 2-1 victory against Capital University (Ohio). The tilt was played Monday, Sept. 24, at the L.S. Ayres Athletic Complex.

Hancock answered in the 23rd minute to tie the game at 1-1. Freshman forward Rachel Alvis (Cincinnati, Ohio) lofted a pass into the 18-yard box and Hancock looped a shot over the Crusaders’ keeper for the equalizer.
Just more than two minutes later, freshman forward Anne-Spicer Adams (Midway, Ky.) fed a ball ahead of Capital's defense and Hancock chipped into the net for the eventual game-winner.
Hanover had just 10 attempts at the net in the match, but the Panthers’ defense held Capital to nine shots.
The Crusaders had a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks, including a 5-1 margin in the scoreless second period.
Senior goalie Bethann Hancock (Lexington, Ky.) had two saves in each half for Hanover, now 7-2 this season.
