Head Men's Tennis Coach/Assistant Women's Soccer/Assistant Athletic Director
Richard Lord is in his sixth year at Hanover as men's coach and first year as the Panthers women's coach.
On the court, he has guided Hanovers men's program to five consecutive winning seasons. In the classroom, his squad has earned the Colleges top team grade-point average during three of his previous five years.
A 1990 graduate of Franklin College, Lord came to Hanover after serving as men's tennis coach at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. While at IUPUI, he was twice named the Mid-Continent Conference coach of the year.
Lord played for two Indiana state championship teams while a student at North Central High School. He later played varsity singles and doubles at Virginia Commonwealth University and Franklin College.
In addition to his effort for the tennis program, Lord also was a starter on Franklin's soccer team. He later joined the Grizzlies' staff as an assistant coach. He also has been a member of the coaching staffs for Hanovers soccer mens and womens teams.
Lord received a bachelor's degree in political science at Franklin. He later earned a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Anderson University.
He is married with two children.
