Why I love being a Panther? To be honest, I came here without any first-hand knowledge of the school or American culture. But ever since, I have grown to love Hanover for its academics. Small class sizes allow me to engage in intimate discussions with my professors, and have helped me understand the course material deeply. Professors are also readily available and take a personal interest in my academic endeavors, which is a rare quality to have as a school. Again, Hanover’s emphasis on strong writing and effective speaking has helped me defend my opinions and get my ideas across clearly and compellingly. This is the basis of any top-notch liberal arts program!

Alumni Spotlight: Corry Stewart

My name is Corry Stewart. I am from Nashville, Tennessee, born and raised! I have lived in Nashville my entire life and once it was time to search for colleges, I was determined to look for schools outside of Tennessee and my comfort zone. I wanted to get away from home and see what the rest of the world was like. Initially, I was only focused on being a college athlete and I only looked at colleges and universities based on their athletic programs. I met with my high school guidance counselor, Brian Motto, a Hanover College alum, and he helped me understand that college education was important and that I could still showcase my athletic skills if I went to a smaller Division III school. Brian Motto introduced me to Hanover College.

I decided to take an official visit to Hanover and as soon as I set foot on the campus, I fell in love. That day, I made my decision to come to Hanover, being able to also continue my football career was the icing on the cake.  I received an amazing education from a great school, and all the while I was focusing on being a Business Scholar, I was displaying my strengths on the football field.

Since my graduation from Hanover in May 2010, I have been playing professional football for the Sttutgart Scorpions in Sttutgart, Germany. Playing professional football has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, having my dreams come true means the world to me. One thing I can say about Hanover, it helps you discover your potential while you pursue your dreams.
